Heavy rain and snow over the past several weeks, along with the forecast of heavy rain, has set the stage for main stem river flooding over portions of the Midwest. Rainfall up to 4 inches is possible over parts of the Midwest over the next several days.

The following image indicates the communities with the potential for flooding in the immediate future. Areas of greatest concern would include locations in red (moderate flooding) and purple (major). Secondary roads or flooding of structures can occur with moderate or major flooding.

These forecasts are based on forecast precipitation and will be adjusted based on actual rainfall amounts.
