The following satellite picture shows a cluster of clouds near the northwest Florida coast.  When low pressure lingers over the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, development into a more organized tropical system can occur.

In this case, the National Hurricane Center is not expecting much development. Furthermore, this area of low pressure is expected to drift southward – away from the Florida coast.

You can also see Tropical Storm Leslie well out in the Atlantic. Leslie could near Bermuda as it moves north.
